			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am so very excited to announce the launch of our inaugural Allotment Club &amp; Seed Swop Supper.   We will meet on a monthly basis to provide a social hub for people interested in growing their own and swopping seeds to start their own edible gardens.</p>
<p>The evening will be an informal and friendly chance to meet likeminded gardeners, share tips and there will be a structured discussion each month lead by an expert.  There will be a special menu provided at the restaurant for the group using local and wild produce.  A dear friend of the restaurant and responsible for growing much of our home-grown produce, Sarah-Jane Watkinson will be leading this first meeting and discussing &#8216;good to grow: planting in preparation for summer.&#8217;</p>
<p>We anticipate a high demand, so please e-mail info [at] the warehousecafe.com to confirm your attendance.  There really is no greater pleasure than the joy of growing and eating your own food, and we look forward to being a part of that.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div>As many of our regular diners may know, we&#8217;ve spent significant efforts in the past year on beginning to grow our own produce, as well as supporting local food and gardening campaigns.  This year we have taken on additional growing space just two streets away from the restaurant with local community gardens &#8212; Edible Eastside &#8212; and I am currently working on a new community orchard and a landmark community allotment project in the city centre with both local and national public sector organisations.  Good news for Birmingham but also good news for the restaurant and part of our three year goal of been able to supply the majority of fresh herbs, leaves and produce off the vine for the restaurant from within Birmingham.</div>
<div><em>To allow us more time to support the growth of our gardens, and involve all our staff in these projects, we will be amending our opening hours.  </em>As our gardens begin to come to life with Spring, we look forward to showing off some of our own produce across the menu and selected specials.</div>

<div>Friday &amp; Saturday &#8212; <strong>12pm</strong> &#8211; 22.30PM (last orders 9.00pm)</div>
<div>Sunday &#8212; <strong>12pm</strong> &#8211; 4.30pm (last orders 3.30pm)</div>
<div>We will also use Tuesdays &amp; Wednesdays to organise more events and dinner clubs &#8212; in addition to our book club, we will be launching an allotment &amp; seed share club, meeting monthly and a programme of regular speakers on food and food related issues.  Please e-mail us for more details.</div>
<div>Tuesday and Wednesday evenings will also be available to our customers for private dining should you wish to visit us as part of a larger group and enjoy exclusive use of the restaurant.</div>

<div>We are  relaunching our Monday promotion &#8212; because sometimes who doesn&#8217;t need a perk to start the week?  For advance bookings (24 hours minmimum please!) we will be offering <strong>buy one get one free on main courses</strong>.  There will be a limited number of promotional dining places so please do book early to avoid disappointment.</div>

We&#8217;re in the process of contacting all our partners to clarify our offers but in the meantime, the following is a summary of the external promotions we run:</p>
<p>Gourmet Society &#8212; excluding Friday evenings and Saturdays.  24 hours advance booking required.</p>
<p>Vouchercloud &amp; Invitation Book &#8212; Mondays &amp; Tuesdays only, with 24 hours advance booking required.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, none of our promotional offers are valid during December.</p>
<p>Any promotional offers are offered with a limited number on offer per service so please do always let us know at the time of booking.</p>
<p>If you have any queries in the meantime, please do give us a call and as soon as we have clarified all these offers I will post another update.  As ever, my sincere thanks for your interest and support.</p>

<p>We&#8217;ve just unveiled our Christmas menu for this year.  I&#8217;m already looking forward to getting in the kitchen with these new dishes, and I certainly look forward to tasting it. Gratuitously.  All in the name of quality control, obviously&#8230;.</p>

<p>In the meantime, I would like to highlight one dish:</p>
<p><strong>Home-smoked beetroot </strong>roast pumpkin, parsnips &amp; baby spinach with goats cheese dressing &amp; walnut crumbed goats cheese (v option) (nuts!)</p>
<p>I adore beetroot, and we&#8217;re going to be smoking the beet ourself using my latest gadget &#8212; The Smoke Gun.  My favourite ingredient and an excuse to use more gadgets?!  Bliss.</p>
